Karuna has worked for over 40 years to transform the lives of the most excluded people in South Asia, overcoming poverty and discrimination through locally-led projects focused on gender equality, education, and sustainable livelihoods. I've had the privilege of collaborating with Karuna for the past 10 years, overseeing their visual identity and ensuring that their message resonates through thoughtfully designed materials. My work incorporates hand-painted patterns and illustrations inspired by the vibrant cultures and communities Karuna serves, bringing authenticity and a personal touch to every project. I design all their key communications for donors, supporters, and fundraisers. This includes printed campaign booklets, annual reviews, posters, fundraising collateral and merchandise such as calendars, greeting cards, t-shirts and tote bags. Beyond print, I create digital resources such as their strategic plans and fundraiser guidebooks, ensuring these vital documents are easy to engage with and visually compelling. I’m also responsible for designing Karuna's major online awareness campaigns to be shared via their social media channels and email newsletters. It’s an honour to work with a charity that makes such a profound difference and I’m proud to play a part in their mission to alleviate poverty and suffering in South Asia.
